CFM Engine Shop Coordinator

Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized Engine Shop Coordinator with expertise in the CFM56-3 and JT8D engine families. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all activities within the engine shop, ensuring efficient workflow, and timely delivery of engine parts/components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations for CFM56-3, -5, and -7 engines.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance, and production teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with procurement of parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all engine shop activities.
  • Conduct regular production meetings, providing accurate updates on project status and addressing any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in engine maintenance and repair, specifically with CFM56-3, -5, and -7 engines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., A&P license) are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain compliance with 14 CFR Part 145 and applicable FAA regulations.
  • Oversee the vendor audit program, including qualifying, monitoring, and auditing outside vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain and control calibration systems for tools and equipment, ensuring accuracy and timely calibration.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, including FAA audits, and ensure timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain training records for technical and quality staff, ensuring all certifications and qualifications are up to date.
  • Ensure proper revision control and distribution of technical data including shop manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory documents.
  • Serve as liaison during FAA inspections, audits, and investigations.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on quality and compliance matters.
  • Maintain and revise the Repair Station Quality Manual and other controlled documents as needed.
  • Investigate quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a Part 145 Repair Station environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, including Part 145, Part 43, and Part 65.
  • Proven experience with vendor audits, calibration programs, and FAA regulatory inspections.
  • Familiarity with aviation technical manuals, work orders, and training documentation.
  • Experience working with calibration systems and metrology standards.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and quality management software systems.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum Powerplant license required
