CFM56 Jet Engine Mechanic / AMT (A&P License)

Role Overview

We are actively seeking an experienced CFM56 Jet Engine Mechanic to join our FAA-certified Part 145 repair station in Miami, FL. Specifically, you will perform essential engine maintenance, repair, and alteration tasks on key turbine components. Additionally, you will report directly to the Director of Maintenance or your designated team lead. Consequently, your daily commitment to safety and precision will directly support our high standards of airworthiness across our CFM56-3, -5, and -7 engine lines.

Key Responsibilities (“A Day in the Life”)

First, you will perform detailed maintenance, disassembly, and alteration tasks on CFM56 engine parts and modules.

Next, you will strictly follow current technical data, including manufacturer’s instructions, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and FAA-approved procedures.

Additionally, you will ensure that you are thoroughly familiar with all specialized tools, equipment, and inspection aids within your assigned area.

Moreover, you will properly and accurately record all completed maintenance actions on the appropriate FAA records.

Finally, you will collaborate closely with your team members to maintain an efficient, safe, and clean hangar environment.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• License Requirement: You must hold an active FAA Powerplant or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Engine Experience: You must possess proven, hands-on maintenance experience working specifically on CFM56 series engines (-3, -5, and/or -7 variants).
• Tooling: You must own a basic set of personal aircraft maintenance tools to perform your daily duties.
• Language Skills: You must read, write, and speak English fluently, as this is a mandatory FAA requirement.
• Legal Authorization: You must maintain lawful authorization to work in the United States.
• Safety Compliance: Because this is a safety-sensitive position, you must successfully pass random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Physical Requirements & Work Setting

• First, you must reliably work in-person at our FAA repair station in Miami, FL 33166.
• Next, you should comfortably perform moderately strenuous physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, stooping, and working overhead.
• Additionally, you must stand for prolonged periods of time on the shop floor and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Finally, you must demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
